« To my surprise, the room was very spacious, including the bathroom! Staff responded to our requests in a timely matter as well. Definitely worth what I paid for the room. Also loved that they had more tv channels to watch than most motels/hotels. »

« We love this place. This was our second visit. It's great for fishing and crabbing. The home is clean, and there are plenty of activities to do at the house (kayaking, games, cornhole, firepit, etc. It is a short drive to the beach, to stores, and good restaurants if you want to venture out. It's an hour away from Houston. NASA is a fun day trip. We highly recommend the Lone Oak River Retreat. »

We did some fishing off the dock and loved sitting on the patio to soak up the nice breeze and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. 10/10 would stay here again and again!!!! »

« We had the most wonderful stay. We travel alot and have stayed in many VRBO's but this one really stood out. First of all they are very generous with coffee and supplies. We also had everything we needed to cook a meal. This was a wonderful choice and we will be back. We loved sitting out on the deck at night and watching the birds, we also loved the star-gazing and they provide a telescope. One day we even saw the dolphins playing very close to our pier. We miss the dome house by the sea...
