"We came up for a spontaneous hiking trip...beautiful weekend. Hotel was fairly reasonable, clean and quiet. Hot tub was a pleasant surprise. Thank you!"

"This is a ski resort from the '60's that has been recently refurbished. It was perfect for our overnight stay to visit the Porcupine Mountains. Our room was in the main building on the first floor and was updated and clean, quiet in the offseason of September, and the mattress was very comfortable. With the included breakfast of homemade scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola bars, we found it to be a good value. We also highly recommend the Iron Nugget restaurant in Hurley for dinner - excellent food, service, and ambience - a hidden gem."

"This was a first-class little hotel. No, it isn't the Ritz, but it is a very clean, spectacularly maintained motel. The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a loveseat in the room too, so we could watch TV without lying down in bed. We chatted with the hosts a couple of times and found them nice & helpful. In fact, we accidentally left a bag behind in the room, and we didn't get 10 miles down the road before they called us to let us know. We were able to go back with very little inconvenience, get the bag, and resume our trip. Add to that the fact that the price was very reasonable. This has nothing to do with the hotel, but since they do not serve breakfast, we recommend The Pines Cafe. It is a wonderful old-fashioned cafe with great food & service."

"Kim has a very lovely property that feels like a home away from home. I'm pretty picky when it comes to clean, and I was impressed! The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, dinnerware, and appliances (although the microwave is small). Both bedrooms have a king size bed, and the one we slept in was comfortable. A portion of the backyard has a 3' high fence with a large deck. Outside of that area is an inviting fire pit with comfortable chairs and fun night time lighting. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to the Ironwood area."
