They put a sign in the lobby the day the pool was being worked on to apologize for the awful toxic smell. No advanced warning whatsoever. The only incident was when the staff that did the laundry charged over 70euros more as they checked a box on my laundry sheet stating I wanted expedited service. And the laundry came back wet.
