"This is a lovely "old" hotel with a great location. Small, rattling elevator (1 person, 1 suitcase at a time). Smallish room. Guess those are the Parisian norm. Helpful staff. Paid the extra for a balcony but weather was either too hot, or too cold, or rainy to use it but it made for some nice pics. Nicely decorated."

"Excellent location in the heart of the Latin Quarter, but the downside is that it is very noisy at night. The windows are single pane and not soundproofed. Bring earplugs! Rooms were not ready at check in time. Air conditioning did not work on one floor but the staff was able to get it fixed within several hours after we reported it and others confirmed. Good breakfast available in small room off the ground floor. We preferred options outside the hotel. We appreciated that the staff tried to make up for the deficiencies for our stay (we had several rooms)."

"The location was great and everything was pretty walkable. The apartment was ok, what the listing didn’t show was that the beds were up a ladder and in a loft you couldn’t stand up in. The outdoor sun room was really nice. The other issue was that a mouse or rat climbed into my bag and chewed cloths but also €100 in confectionaries I had gotten as gifts to take home. Multiple items of cloths and all the confectionaries were trashed."

"L’Empire Hotel was a great hotel to stay in Paris. It had many more positives than negatives. The staff was extraordinary. The front desk, breakfast attendant, room service attend, virtually everyone, was focused on the guest experience. Locations was key, non better! Vibrant neighborhood close to many key land markgsu The hotel was spotless, but tired. If you’re looking for “luxury”, this is not your hotel. Comfortable, clean, happy, yes…upscale, no. I highly recommend this property."
