"We had a lovely 2 night stay at Stirrups. My daughter and I were going to Royal Windsor Horse Show and thought it would be nice to stay in an equine themed hotel! It is a lovely looking building on arrival, there is plenty of parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. There was a function on the second night of our stay, and the hotel had already contacted us to let us know, and said we would be put in a quiet part of the hotel. "Lovely room but restaurant service is slow. Lots of time when there was no one in the restaurant. At breakfast we sat down on our own accord as there was no one around,after what seemed like a long time, I got us the menus and eventually someone came to take the order. "Lovely hotel, bar, restaurant and room. Our room had a river view, was a good size with an extra large bathroom. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and well stocked with extra large towels and nice toiletries. There was tea, coffee bags, biscuits and bottled water all of which were replaced daily. Also a fridge. The bedding was luxurious and very comfortable for our very large bed. Really good location and lots to do within walking distance. I would highly recommend."

"Close to the centre of Reading, this is a lively nightspot with accommodation. Access was easy and although our room was on the first floor it is quite high up so noise from the bar (which closes at 11) wasn't an issue. Staff were very friendly and helpful; room pleasant; shower, bed linen, towels, toiletries, coffee/tea facilities all of a high standard. A pity breakfast not available, but lots of good places in the vicinity."

"We were given a disability room off the car park so not in the main building. So no view of anything except a fence 18” from our window.
