"Decent 2-3 star hotel in a convenient location"
We were on vacation in the Black Hills and wanted a hotel that was closer to Devil's Tower. This hotel is on the smaller side, quiet and clean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to assist us.

"Fabulous hotel!!!!!"
We traveled to and from Yellowstone from Minnnesota and stayed in hotels the same price and this was by far the nicest! The facility and rooms were fresh, clean, and comfortable! The mangers were so kind and helpful! The bed was SO comfortable! We are not drinkers but the trolley comes here if you are so know need to drive. Expedia says you have to check I'm by 10pm but it's really 8pm. The manager was nice enough to call at 7 to make sure we knew this. We will be staying here again!

"Nice place to stay"
This is our second stay at this motel and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Very clean and inexpensive. Location is great - close to shopping, eating and golfing. My grandkids loved the arcade, pool and hot tub. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive stay at a clean, hospitable motel.

Older hotel, Nice, quiet location. Was able to walk the trail to downtown and take a trolley back. Has a nice pool and hot tub area as well. Can't beat the rate for Deadwood. Beds were comfortable. I would stay there again and recommend to friends.

"In the heart of Deadwood, steps from everything"
We headed out to the Black Hills for vacation and were travelling with our dog, so we had to find a hotel that was pet friendly. We were not sure how she would do on her own in a room, but she traveled like a champ. There was an extra $35 charge for the pet, and the only reason I mention this is because Expedia has a $20 extra charge. This is for the entire stay, not per day. The hotel is located in an older building in Deadwood. There is no parking lot so you either have to park in the ramp that is two blocks away, or you can have the valet park it. We chose the valet. Parking in the ramp is free because the hotel desk will give you a pass when you go to get your car. Check-in was easy and fairly quick. Pets are all on the first and second floors only. For some reason Expedia did not convey the fact I wanted a pet room, but I don't think I asked. I would call them to give them a heads up if you travel with a pet. The nearest patch of grass is two blocks away, near the Deadwood bus tour. Our dog learned immediately we had to walk for her to go to the bathroom, so that was not an issue. Be advised. I ended up walking our dog every morning on a gravel road that runs above the creek, against the hills of Deadwood. I only saw one car on this road and that car belonged to a construction worker who was working on the area in front of the creek. It is a great walk and we saw deer every day we walked. No more room to write, so I will continue important things next
