“Definitely a place to return to....”
Fabulous pool! Great ambiance, landscaping and outstanding food. We will be back.
“Another nice stay at the Lodge”
This was my second visit to Lodge on the Desert and I enjoyed it as much as my previous stay. For my purposes, it is just perfect. My daughter is a student at U. of AZ and I came out to pick her up for spring break and we then did some traveling. We stayed at the Lodge for two nights before and one night after our trip. I really like the location--short drive to the university, the shopping & restaurants we went to, not far from the airport. While it's on a main road, once inside the walls, there is a calm. The price point for me is great--I feel like it's a wonderful value because of the Southwest resort-like atmosphere. The grounds are lovely and beautifully manicured. Our room (in the new part) was modern, airy and very comfortable. The breakfasts are superb--perfectly prepared, attractive dining room, nice wait staff, not at all expensive for a meal of that quality. I know there many choices of places to stay in the Tucson area, but this one hits exactly the right notes for me given location, price, ambiance, quality of room and the staff.
“Ideal Spot in Tucson”
Beautiful grounds, large room, friendly but not-intrusive staff. Close to virtually everything to see in the city, including great restaurants. Wonderful stay.
“Can't wait for the next visit”
From the minute that I arrived the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, well stocked and decorated very nice. The room was quiet, no road or AC noise. The fire place and the oversize bath tub sent the room over the top. The bed was very comfortable. I can't wait for the next opportunity to stay there again.
“Lodge on the Desert”
Very very nice hotel, all the comforts are here, very well presented. large room, lots of car parking.
“Nice room and fireplace”
Our room was spacious and the southwest style was very pretty. We loved the fireplace especially since the weather cooled and it started to rain. The bed was comfortable. My husband loved the large TV since the football playoffs were on. I would come back to this lovely hotel.
“Great Tucson experience!”
very quiet; you'd never know you were in the middle of the city; heated pool was great; my husband got sick while we were there, and we needed extra housekeeping help. They were very quick to respond to our request. Felt much more peaceful than staying in large hotel.
“Understated elegance”
The hotel was quiet, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was better than I'd hoped. At one point, I was lost wandering the paths, and one of the housekeepers helped me find my way back. That was really sweet. Also, I loved the plantings, which were native, excellent specimens, well taken care of. The grounds were clean. I loved the understated Southwestern style of the hotel. When I told my relatives who live in Tucson where I was staying, they said, oh fancy! I thought the price was very fair for what we got. I definitely felt that I was in the Southwest. The little amenities, the soaps, shampoos, etc., were green and pleasantly scented. Very nice overall. I will definitely stay there again.
“Excellent experience.”
Organized, helpful easy to work with. Like the 24 hour Pool and Spa. Did a good job making it feel like you're not in the middle of the city. Serene and quiet! Well done!
“Outstanding Hotel With Excellent Service”
Very nice hotel. The room was very comfortable and was in an excellent location. I had breakfast at the hotel, and the food and service was excellent. I would highly recommend it and will definitely stay there on my next visit to Tucson.
