“Secluded Getaway”
The hotel is a little older so it could use a little modernization in the rooms. The stay was excellent - we spent a week there. First time I did not have back pains from a bed at a hotel. The hotel was super quite and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was terrific friendly as can be. Wish we had gone to the flying V restaurant earlier in our stay, the food was the best of all the restaurants we tried in Tucson. I would recommend this hotel to all including families a really nice secluded retreat.
“Quiet resort with exceptional service”
Located approx. 8 miles north of Tucson this resort was an EXCELLENT choice. Accommodations were excellent, employees were extremely helpful which made this a perfect place to stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Pool area was wonderful! Definitely would stay here again.
“Wonderful Stay!”
Beautiful property, very attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay and will definitely be back. The only negative we found was the daily charge for wi-fi.
“Nice place to stay, but eat away.”
We had an enjoyable time. The only distractions were two weddings per day on springtime weekends and quite a few kids at the pool. They only have one place to dine in the evening (The Flying V) and it was booked full the evening we arrived -- so we had to eat bar snacks. Two nights later, we had dinner at The Flying V and it was mediocre -- dry, tough pork chop and flavorless sea bass. The resort is about a mile from other dining options.
“so helpful”
We used the hotel for a week to daytrip the area. The concierges(three of them) were so knowledgable and helpful. It really made for a perfect week. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays (especially the huge tree that was shipped in from Oregon and took 20 staff members to erect. It would be a perfect place to go too just relax. The lounge was so comfortable and the restaurants were all quite good. Our room was very comfortable. We especially appreciated the couch to relax on and watch tv after some very long days of touring.Definitely would recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
“Very Relaxing, Can't wait to go back again!”
My husband and I took our two boys for a weekend getaway. We have a 15 yr old and a 4 month old baby so the hotel is very family oriented. They had activities throughout the day and a movie at the pool for the kids at night. There's tennis courts, basketball courts and a very nice golf course. We had a great time by the pool where we also played ping pong. Resort is nestled in the mtns and is very beautiful and relaxing. Very peaceful location. Room was very nice and clean and make sure to ask for mtn view when booking your room. We will definetly go back and stay longer next time.
“We loved the Ventana Canyon Resort!”
We booked our trip to the Ventana Canyon Resort through Expedia and everything was exactly how we expected it to be--fabulous!! The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The surroundings are gorgeous and we took advantage of several nature walks right on the grounds. Very peaceful and relaxing. The spa was also friendly and welcoming, not at all snooty or pretentious. The pool area was fun and includes a great poolside grill with service straight to your deck chair. The Flying V was also very accommodating, and we really liked their surf and turf menu. Just a warning: the Spa at Ventana Canyon was freezing!! The waiting room for treatments was frigid, and I also thought the room for my massage was about 15 degrees too cold. The spa staff was incredibly obliging and friendly though, so I'm sure all you would have to do is ask to have the a/c turned down a little! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay!
“Great stay!”
Beautiful hotel! Excellent service! A bit far from the University of Arizona, but worth the ride.
“Excellent Stay!”
The hotel is in a great location -- close to everything - hiking, town, restraunts. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Overall -- one of the best places we've stayed in in the US!
“Tucson Retreat”
This was my 3rd time back at Loews this summer. I made sure to take all my loved ones there to share the beauty. Now that I know how to catergorize the rooms, I will only want the Grand view that looks at the waterfall. Gorgeously kept property.
