“great place”

this was my second stay at the hotel. it's convience and location is perfect for overnight stay before heading out to the bus or airport. the food was good, the service excellent and everyone was very friendly. i was travelling alone and felt very safe. It's a great place to wander around the marina, and not have to deal with the downtown bustle of vallarta. i would highy recomend it.

When we first entered through the door and saw a narrow staircase, we thought oh what have we gotten ourselves into. At the top of the stairs was a huge room with a beautiful view of the marina. The decor was Mexican rustic, with painted furniture. Lots of restaurants in the marina area to choose from. A quick bus ride to shopping. We will definitely stay here again.

“PV's Super Stopover”

The Flamingo Marina Hotel is rated as a 2* probably because it is older Mexican in style and character. Rightfully so, it does not have all of the modern trim and functions. Rrooms are large and most have a sitting area. Doesn't have things like a hairdryer, etc. What it does give you is comfort and cleanlines and economy. For a one or two night stopover before heading to other places you will find it hard to beat. It is close to both the airport and bus terminal and just 10 minutes by taxi to downtown PV. It is right on the marina with all number of restaurants and bars within walking distance at reasonable cost. This is our 4th stay at the Flamingo and we would not hesitate to return.

“Will go back”

Anyone complaning about this hotel for the price you pay, should stay home. They are not fit for travelling. The Marina is right there, them if you want to go shopping to Puerto Varllarta, or Wal-Mart, the bus is just at the end of the street. Lots of restaurants, bar near by, very good place to stay. For the Internet they have a room with chairs, tables and the speed is very fast. If you are close to that room, you might get it in your room.

“Can't believe I waited so many years to stay here.”

The room was far better than expected. The balcony was almost as big as the room and we had a beautiful view of the pool and the marina. The pool area was a nice surprise and the restaurant/bar had great food and excellent service. I had been wanting to try this hotel out for years and I am sorry that I waited so long. The staff were helpful. They kept our bags for the day when we checked out as we had a fishing trip booked that day. Everything was clean and well maintained. We got in after midnight so the location near the airport was very nice. Check in took all of 5 minutes. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Only stayed short term before heading south but found it overall as clean, friendly, economic and convenient to town, harbour and airport.

“Better than expected and totally safe”

What a nice surprise, after reading other reviews I was a bit apprehensive but the hotel turned out to be a most enjoayable experience. I was most impressed by the overall cleanliness. The location is very convenient close to bars and restaurants. I felt safe even walking around the marina after midnight although some of the lights are turned off then in front of the hotel. I would definately return. This hotel compares favorably to many of the older ones I have stayed in at resorts in europe. Two thumbs up keep up the good work.

“We Loved the Flamingo Vallarta”

Hola all! We just got back from an extremely hot and humid week in Puerto Vallarta. There were many bright spots, but one of them was surely the Flamingo Vallarta at the Marina. We were a little concerned when we saw the age of the Hotel, but our concerns evaporated when we got to our room and had a chance to check out the bed and furniture. There is certainly a bit of evidence of age on the furniture, but the bed was comfy and all the rest of the furniture was very clean and highly functional. The maid service was top notch and the cleanliness factor was 5 star. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The relatively new business center was a great addition to our trip with the free wi fi. All amenities were available and if not in the room, were easy to aquire. The location is awesome, right on the Marina with the accompanying iguanas, oppossum, birds. In the marina water the colorful crabs, alligators and tropical fish. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would go back there in a heartbeat.
