Perfect hotel for divers!

Posted 27-Sep-2014
Pros: atmosphere convenient location friendly/helpful staff cleanliness safety
Cons: The sofas and chairs need to be replaced.
Location: Convenient to the marina and Los Peines pier if you are a diver or heading out on an ocean tour. Close to local bus route and shopping area.
In a great location in the marina......a very friendly and safe area and easy walking for the shops and restaurants in the marina. The local buses are just a few minutes away and will take you downtown for only a few pesos. The hotel is cozy and the staff is made up of wonderful, helpful and caring people who really strive to make your stay safe, comfortable and enjoyable. The restaurant serves excellent meals.....the best coconut shrimp in Vallarta! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are kept 5-star clean!! The pool is beautiful and well looked after. The hotel has been renovated in the last year and the changes are great! I have been a regular guest for the last 5 years and I will continue to stay at the Flamingo. I feel like I am "coming home" when I arrive.

Beautiful view of the marina

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: Close to the marina and restaurants. Helpful courteous staff.
Cons: The rooms could be up dated, however wasn't in Mexico to stay in the room.
Location: Shopping and short distance (taxi) to walk the Malaccan.
Stayed two nights. Food was good and the hotel and restaurant staff was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was nice size and close to the bar!

Great location if you're seeking peace and quiet.

Posted 5-Sep-2014
Pros: Location, size of room, price (off-season special rate was an incredible deal), staff
Cons: The addition of a small refrigerator to rooms would be great. My room was lovely and clean, but had no hair dryer, coffee maker, or access to ice
Location: The property is right on the Marina. Two minute walk to shops, convenience store and bars/restaurants. Brando's and Chappy's are icons
The hotel is old, but full of character and well-staffed and well-maintained. It satisfied basic needs (plenty of hot water, clean, comfortable bed and air conditioning) as well as providing a great view and spacious room. Plenty of shops, bars and good restaurants within easy strolling distance and fast access to bus and taxi. When the front desk person calls you a cab, it will be there in less than three minutes. Flamingo's staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Gregorio, the bar/restaurant manager and sometime gardener, is a gem.

Location: This hotel is in the marina. There are many restaurants and bars as well as the ability to go on boating excursions.
This is our 3rd visit to the Flamingos. We were there for four nights. The rooms are nice and staff friendly.

couldn't say enough about the staff, anything we asked about or for, the answer was SI, outstanding, some other 5 star hotel staffs could use them as a model for staff training.

Convenient hotel hotel close to airport

Posted 1-May-2014
I chose this hotel based on price and proximity to the airport as I I was only going to be staying for 14 hours. The front desk staff were excellent. The room was huge with a king bed and a large private balcony looking onto the Marina. Room was very clean. Water in the shower was hot if you are patient. Breakfast buffet was typical. For a three star hotel the Flamingo was excellent.

Loved the sweet things best

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: It was within walking distance of so many places I needed to be. The staff was very kind, friendly, and accomodating.
Cons: I needed a washcloth each day, which was not provided, and had to use one of my own hankies instead.
Location: Just a lot to see and do.
Loved the towels folded like hearts and the pretty fresh flowers in the room the second night. Good breakfast too.
