“Nice place , nice location, great place to stay.”
Very nice place and well maintained overall. Food and drinks are a bit over priced and the time share bs is a little annoying, but if you can get over that it's not bad at all. Best bet is to get a room with a kitchenette and shop at the Soriana across the street for food and drink. Bus stop right out front to pretty much any location you'd like to visit. Good place, nice beach, and friendly staff.
“Very nice, clean, safe, scenic hotel with great location, would stay again”
Loved the hotel & it's location. It was everything that we expected based on previous reviews & hotel details/pics. We stayed for a week and loved it. It was close to downtown, marina & just about everywhere we wanted to go. It had easy access to bus/public transport, taxis, shops, marketplace, restaurants, etc. Since we're vegetarians, we mostly ate off-premsises(100% natural, planet vegetariano) & enjoyed breakfast at the room. Had a gardenview room with nice scenery of palm trees and sunrise/sunset over the mountains. Had a blast at the two pools by the beach. Beach wasn't all we expected - so we explored other beaches which are accessible by public transport, but we'd rented a car. Pools/Jacuzzi's were very clean & family friendly. Staff was very accomadating except the Time Share ppl can be a little aggressive. The premises & room are well taken care of and most relaxing. Enjoy your stay at this hotel. The security is great in & around this hotel and all over the tourist areas in PVR. We found that be a big plus.
“Great Hotel in PV, Mexico”
Fantastic service at the hotel. Make sure you meet Ernesto in the restaurant, Daniel, Cesar & Juaquin poolside and the other Juaquin in the Lounge (he has been there for 24 years and sings as he works). Great location - only $20 from the airport 80 pesos on the way back (10-15 mins). The city bus is super cheap and takes you right downtown. It is only a 40 min walk back to the hotel. Overall, great experience!
“Would like to stay there again”
Nice beach , very nice location
“Not confortable with all their rules.”
Beautiful hotel, nice room, some very nice employees. However, they had too many rules and they pressured me to go to a time share meeting all the time.. When I refuse to go to their meeting and did not get their VIP card, the staff and security were not very friendly. I have been going to PV since 1982. I did not feel confortable with their rules or how they ran the hotel. I had problem with security. I could not pay at the restaurant with US dollars or pesos. You had to charge it to room or pay with a credit card. When I checked out they had added tips to my bill without my authorization. I would love to go back because it is a beautiful hotel, room was great, nice pools and the best work out gym in PV. BUT I will not go back unless they change their management or owners.
“perfect for families”
I had been in this hotel before as a member and the service was always excellent, I canceled my membership because I was not able to afford it anymore, but my daughters love the place and wanted to go back. I discovered that it's cheaper to travel with an agency. The only thing I did not like was when the greeting person offered me a "discount card" and then invited me to a "presentation", when I refused to do it, she took back the card and left without calling a bell boy. I think that was rude. that was the only sour moment, after that everythig was perfect, I would recomend this hotel because it has a family environment.
“good value and central hotel zone location”
The Vila Del Palmar has a newer resort in Neuvo Vallarta but way out from the old downtown if you want to shop or sightsee. So for latter it's better to go to the hotel zone location, oldeer but well maintained.
“Nice but...”
My wife and I chose this all-inclusive resort because of cost and because we booked very late (2 days before our 7th anniversary) . The resort was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. As all-inclusive, the resort included drinks, food, snacks, and pool-side service, but the food was boring and repetitive. As a precaution against other people not staying at the resort from walking off the beach and onto the resort and ordering whatever they wanted, we had to sign credit card-like receipts every time we ordered something no matter how small. While it's understandable why they do it, it still becomes a nuisance when all you want is a drink and to be on your way. The hotel is down beach from a river opening into the ocean and by mid-afternoon, the water is brown from the silt coming from the river. Not "dirty" per say, but not the clear blue swimming waters we're accustomed to in our years vacationing in Mexico. By morning, the beach is as clear as any, though. A big plus was that we were a $5 cab ride to downtown and the the airport. As mentioned before, we went for our anniversary and wanted some quiet time, but I have never seen so many children at a resort in my life! This resort has all the basics of a decent all-inclusive resort, great pool, small beach and is perfect for young couples with kids to experience as a first-time trip to Mexico, but we will be opting for somewhere a bit more on the quiet side next time.
“Great Vacation!”
When we arrived at the resort, the staff were very friendly and helpful, however when we got to our room we found that the air conditioning was not up to par. We were told that because we were on the top floor, the roof gets so hot that it is hard to cool our room. They also said there was nothing they could do and that it would not get any cooler. After a bit of complaining, we were upgraded to another room overlooking the beach. This room was in a newer building and was very large an nice. The pool staff were very good as long as you kept the tips coming. Watch out for the harrassing vendors right outside the property line on the beach. If you act even a little interested, they will practically follow you in to the ocean!!! Going outside of the resort was no problem and we felt very safe.
“Vill del Palmar Hotel”
Third time we stayed @ this hotel. Strongly recomend.
