"This is a beautiful resort and the onsens were amazing, quiet, relaxing, rooms were lovely. The kasieki meal was superb, breakfast had 100 choices. Only complaint os coffee at night had coffee grounds in it. i recommend a two night stay so you may visit both baths. The pajama wear and takata wear were so awesome to wear all over the resort and to dinner! What fun. No racial prejudice felt at this resort. Also a great location to catch the cable car to the ropeway which is a must do! Take the...

"We arrived to Hyatt regency hakone and were immediately escorted in and were told they were waiting for us. From that moment on, it was nothing but first class treatment from the entire staff. It was an incredible experience and the staff experience alone should make people run here in droves!! It sadly rained (4.5 inches in one day alone) while we were there but the staff was always helpful with information, alternative advice, and wonderful smiles. Would definitely recommend as they went above...

Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone
2.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (174)
"Nice staff, clean and have free green tea and coffee. However there is no private bathroom in our room. The property is up the hill and very difficult to walk up with luggage. The bus runs every half hour from 7:30-8:00 am and then every hour after that. You have to call taxi after dinner near station. "

Hakone Nanase
3.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (381)
"Such a nice place to relax and take a moment to enjoy where you are. Food was amazing and staff made you feel at home. Was one of my favourite places to stay. Bed was a little too hard for my partner but good for me. You wear your traditional Japanese pajamas throughout the hotel which added to feeling relaxed. I would recommend private onsen, I used it so much and so glad we opted for it."

"We had a great stay at Tensui Saryo during Hakone visit. It is very conveniently located near the train station from Hakone-Yumoto and the cable car that leads up to the Owakudani sulfur vents. Our room was beautiful and the mountain view - though somewhat cloudy - was as well. The futons in our room were warm and soft but I did wake up a bit stiff (just gaijin issues). We had an outdoor hot spring-fed bath on the patio which was very luxurious. The sulfur is filtered out so the water doesn't...
