We had three nights in one of the Villas. It was completely private, the wood cabin was gorgeous and smelled amazing. We had a private outdoor bath in the villa and it was fabulous spending time out there. Both the traditional Japanese breakfast and the French breakfast buffet was a treat. Our bed had a really nice view of the little garden, where the open air onsen was located. The onsen was clean and it was so nice to sit in the warm water and take in the serene beauty of the place. The staff was really nice and took us by car to our room and to the busstop, they even wanted to take us to the restaurant, but we decided to walk. The breakfast was a gorgeous japanese style breakfast, which we got in our own separate room in the restaurant. The private onsen was wonderful! The room/cabin was so comfortable, clean, spacious, well stocked, excellent products, safe, and private. The first dinner menu was one of the best Kaiseki experiences. The chef is talented! The second menu was good- but a step away from the first. My only recommendation would be to include non-alcoholic beverages with the included meals. These were available at an additional cost which is not consistent with the luxury and exclusivity of this property.
