"Great Hotel on Seven Mile Beach"
We had a wonderful stay at Grand Cayman Beach Suites. The staff is fabulous. They are helpful and so friendly. Our room was great. We had a 1 bedroom Oceanview suite. It was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel beach area was great. It's less crowded then other parts of Seven Mile Beach. You never have trouble getting a beach chair. The pool area and pool bar were nice as was the bar staff. The concierge booked some excursions for us as well as gave us recommendations for restaurants. We decided to rent a car for a day so we could see the east side of the island and would have been very disappointed if we had missed it. For us Americans it was an adventure driving on the left side of the road but well worth it. Definitely hope to come back.

"Paradise with class"
We stayed here for a few days and we honestly didn't want to leave! The staff was great, accommodating and kind. We loved everything. The hotel is pricey from $100 breakfast to $300 dinners but so is the island. You can't get any better than the Ritz!

"Incredible, laid-back paradise!"
We are thrilled to have found this hotel after reading other reviews. We were initially staying on 7 mile beach and were very disappointed with the setting. We wanted to be in a more private area with a gorgeous beach and some charm. I looked into the Rtiz and the Westin and neither seemed to offer anything different that what we had at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites. If anything they were even busier! And all the hotels were right off of the loud road. So we found the Wyndham Reef Resort and liked how the reviews said it was relaxing, beautiful and on the quiet side of the island. We could not be happier with this find! the rooms are very comfortable - the bedding is fresh and luxurious and they moved us to a 3rd floor room with stunning ocean views that would have cost of $800 a night at another resort. The pools here are small but lovely and the beach is paradise. You can snorkel right off shore. We are pleasantly surprised that the food at the outside bar was excellent. The bar is open-air and has a great ambiance and dinner can be had in the sand under palapas. the service is excellent around the whole hotel. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. It's very casual so if you want something more upscale, this is probably not the place. We typically stay at high end pricey resorts and don't mind paying if the setting is fabulous. But I can say that when we come back to Grand Cayman we will stay here again and we can't wait to return!

"Keep this a secret ."
Coming from Canada we really surprised to see the U.S. dollar worth 25% less than the Cayman dollar so we really took a hit on our money exchange . As far as Grand Cayman goes ,yes the beaches are beautiful as with many Caribbean destinations, but a little over exaggerated. As SHANIA would say "That don't impress me much " unless your trying to fool yourself. Stingray City is a good bet and worth the visit. Would I return? Probably but only because of the hotel.

"relaxing"
Walked everywhere felt safe at night. Only thing bad was the mosquitoes at dusk. Cabs are easy to get anywhere. Ate at Tortuga in Westin, Eats, Cimboca, and Calypso all were very good. Staff at Westin were very nice.

"Best Staff Ever!"
I can't imagine why this resort has some bad reviews. The hotel is beautiful, clean and well located. The staff members were attentive and very friendly (especially Omar and Andrew). If we looked hot, someone literally ran to get us a bottle of cold water. No one hovered around for tips. In truth, most of the time they had moved on to help someone else before we could even get our wallets out. They also gave us great advice on where to eat and what to do with our time. The lobby is fun and exciting. The food is great and no more overpriced than the rest of the island. (You must try the crepes.) The beach is well protected so offers a very safe place for children and non-swimmers to enjoy the water. The gardens were lovely. It also was a pleasant surprise to find that the daily resort fee covered unlimited use of internet, bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment. I love going on vacation and not being "nickeled and dimed" to death. We felt the resort was a bargain and the staff and people of Grand Cayman are the nicest we have encountered in our travels. We'll be back.

"Interesting but not bad "
It could be more has great potential, not far at all from the airport $14 CI and $20 US. Sherika is so kind, understanding and friendly. The rooms are great and clean. I requested no service for my whole stay- they do need to get Do Not Disturb door hangers. Wish the prices were cheaper for food and drinks at bar on property but hey, we just went to the super market to buy food for our stay which you come out way cheaper. The poolside was fine. You will be surrounded by stacks but we didnt pay mind because we were out and about majority of our trip seeing the islands. Wish there was a beach behind the hotel but they use it for diving. We didn't have a vehicle but it was walking distance to Georgetown & from there we walked or took the bus - the bus is the best way to get around and cheap!

"Nice hotel away from the busy city"
Nice hotel in a quiet area of grand cayman. Far from anything to walk to..but they do offer a comimentary shuttle which goes to four locations (fosters supermarket, public beach, georgetown, and camana bay) and stops at 5 pm. So if you want to go anywhere after 5 you better get a taxi which can be a bit pricey. Overall it was a good experience with the hotel staff. The restaurant staff were very incompetent however; long waiting times when nobody was in restaurant and confusion with who has what duty or who has what table...never have one good experience at the restaurant. My biggest advice would be to plan out transportation ahead of time with the commentary shuttles to and from the attractions on the island.
