The South Scuba Diving Vacations

The room was clean and the staff was nice and helpful. My only gripe is that when I was choosing a place to stay I chose this one because it said breakfast was included but didn’t specify that it was to the on site restaurant on top of that it also didn’t say that parking was 35$ a day. Other than that and again that’s just me being a human and complaining the stay was great I would definitely go back again.

This place was just what we needed for a couples weekend getaway. The accommodations were very nice and there was so much to do within a short walking distance. We would definitely stay again.

It was a really nice family trip

We were SO excited for our stay at this resort. We splurged on this for our family and 5 and upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa because of the space and the photos shown online. We arrived later at night because of our flights and the drive. The Villa was very far from the main hotel so we had to drive everywhere. Photos of the villas online showed a grassy area that you could walk to the water. We could not - we had a small fenced in patio that backed up to a canal. When we got into the villa around 10pm, it looked to have been cleaned in a hurry and disheveled. The trash can was in the middle of the kitchen, chairs pushed up against the drapes. There were no light bulbs in any of the lamps. There was a broken window screen on the back patio. It seemed clean enough that we were not grossed out but the sheets had stains on them and the floors and banisters seemed dingy. We were all so tired and we planned to use the fold out couch as a bed for my 13 year old. There were ZERO extra sheets, pillows or blankets anywhere in the villa. We called housekeeping many times with no answer. finally around 11pm, we got an answer and they brought 2 mattress covers and 1 sheet. No pillow no blankets. In the meantime, we noticed that the bathrooms had no shampoo, conditioner and contained one bar of used soap. We called again and an hour later, they brought more sheets and 2 used bottles of shampoo and conditioner. We didn't get our kids to sleep until past midnight.SO BAD for much as we paid

Islander Resort... WOW! This place will WOW you in the keys. From the beautifully decorated rooms that are spacious, to the large patios, to the walkable grounds all in white sand and beautifully clean grounds. You will walk from your rooms towards the BEAUTIFUL view of the Florida bay. Incredible view from this resort. Featuring two wonderful pools. The pools aren't very big and I could see them getting crowded in the busy season. Plenty of loungers and the bar by the pools is wonderful. The service amd servers here are wonderful and polite. This place will wow you into returning. I will name this a TOP RESORT IN THE KEYS. Stay here and you will not regret it. Complimentary EVERYTHING, mini golf, beach volley ball, kayaks, paddle boards, pick ball courts, basketball, and more. Enjoy the beach and view! We will be back for sure! The Drift restaurant was very good, but seemed to skimp out on portions for the price, but that is expected at a resort restaurant. Very good and delicious food though. The cheesecake was exquisite.
