Easy check-in with super nice staff. Great room

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We first met the innkeeper, Matthew(3rd generation). Matthew was one and inviting, not in a fake way but a way that actually made you feel like you have just come home where you belonged. The room we stayed in was great! The bed was super comfortable and the towels were the softest we have experienced. Ever! Very convenient location walkable to every important location in the area. The breakfast every morning was delicious. Our last day we were eating our amazing breakfast and struck up a conversation with the Matriarch of the family, Lynn….93 years young. Every part of this place exudes home. Where ever you may come from you definitely feel at home. We will be back!!

It would have been the perfect place if the concert at Tanglewood had not been postponed. The checkin went well, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was good. Plenty of parking and there are plenty of restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner. Overall I was quite pleased with the place.

I have never complained about a hotel before however, Soto was quite overpriced for what it was. The young female bartender was extremely inhospitable and rude to my friend and to another couple. She actually sneered l. The front desk woman seemed utterly harassed when we checked in—no smiles, no welcome.. just an awful experience. There was a smell of faint sewage or something foul in the lobby and halls and they were trying to cover it up with the use of scented air fresheners… No apology was made for the smell. Then there was a quinceañera celebration happening on the second floor right beneath our room, which kept us up till midnight… pounding music. No recompense was given.. this hotel needs to cull its poor staff, and hire professionals who are courteous, helpful and kind. The hallways were cavernous, dark and uncomfortably cold.. the room oddly had no dresser… We had to put our clothing on the desk. Will not stay there again.
