Horrible checkin / checkout... Would never stay there again...Double charged me entire stay and still fighting to get someone to refund 2nd one that is so clearly a duplicate for same stay....

The place is great, it's just that everything is beyond absurdly expensive. If we're going to be paying such a high rate for the nightly then I shouldn't have to pay $250 for chef selection Sushi that could only feed my 12-year-old. Parking $75 a night. Daybed $375 for the day with other guests invading. It just got abusive

Nothing great about this hotel. The hotel is in need of a remodel. We had mold all in the shower and under the sink faucets. No help from the three guys working outside to help with bags. Just three guys standing around trying to not make eye contact with you. You have about 6-7 steps to get your luggage up. We tried to ask about a taxi. We stood at his work station and he never would acknowledge me, until I said excuse me and then told me to go inside to book one. The front desk staff were not friendly at all. We had to wait awhile to get our room which we knew. After 3 hours I went to check because I watched three people walk up and get a room. Acted put out because I didn’t receive the email notification to tell me my room was ready and why was I up there. The worker got me keys to our room. Sheets dirty The luggage was supposed to be brought up to our room. Nope! After an hour of waiting, we went to get our luggage. We got in from an excursion at 10 pm. We brought a slice of pizza back to the hotel lobby and ate it at the tables they have where you can eat. After the fact, when I took my trash to the guy to throw away, he said “next time, don’t bring food from outside to eat in here.” There were no signs put out that mention that. And we bought a piece of cake from their store to eat. The pool is small for a Riu. I was out tanning by the pool and the guy never came by to ask if I wanted a drink in the 3 hours I was out there. I know, I know, third world problems.

The property it self was good though very expensive. The room was great but be aware, if you dont want anything to drink in the room read first. They have a refrigerator full off drinks, cupboard full of snack at a hefty price. If you charge anything to the room there is a 20% gratuity. So the refrigerator is full of drink unable to use it at all moreover, if you want to heat up anything, you will need to rent a microwave from them at a cost of 25 dollars. Went to the Bristol to wind down after a hot day at the pool, ordered an expresso martini and the charge was 40 dollars plus the gratuity. Also, if you are looking to go on the beach, good luck. The algae was so much, so thick, horrible, you will not be able to go in the beach and enjoy any kind of swimming.

Resort fee with no resort is crazy.
