The reception desk closed at 5 pm which is so early on and since there isn’t any transportation it was tough to coordinate anything because other than the receptionist nobody spoke English and she left after 5. Maybe it was off season but the whole place was uncharacteristically empty.

This hotel is gorgeous! The beach & view were stunning & lots going on in the area. Our room couldn’t have been better. I have stayed all over the world & have never had a friendlier or more accommodating staff. They went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met. They even helped us with transportation & outside excursions. Luis at the front desk was especially helpful & always had a smile! The food was great too.. breakfast, dinner, margaritas… everything! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was here. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

The staff were some of the the most helpful and friendly people I have ever dealt with when traveling. This says a lot as I travel half the year. The food and drinks at the restaurants was wonderful. The one thing I will point out is that the hotel owners need to work on updating broken patio furniture and the hotel as a whole. For what they charge it really was sad to see the hotel looking worn out. Note: we had 4 villas (not really a villa more like room with deck) for 7 days and the air con did not work well in one of the villas. Power was out several times for long periods which meant no water either but we understand this can be typical in the area. The highlight besides the beauty of the area was the staff.

Stayed 10 nights with my husband, overall I'd recommend if you haven't been before. To start off we are very much beach and food people, don't really stay by the pool that much, but since we were here for 10 days we happened to be around the pool alot. One thing that I'd like to say about that is that they should really add some shade to some part of the pool, because it has none besides the bar area. As far as food: probably one of the better hotels that we have been to, and we've been to a few now. The lamb was good at multiple restaurants, (side note the privilege restaurant is only for the privilege rooms) but the food there was amazing from breakfast to dinner. Also the buffet was one of the best buffets we have tried, they had sushi and sashimi 2 times for lunch that we saw, the restaurant by the ocean also has amazing lunch food. As far as the stay, the workers seem like the genuinely enjoy being there and have been just amazing. A few of the buffer workers were just on a whole different level, from remembering our drink order to watching my water glass, just awesome. The activities were fun, the pool games, bingo, hat painting, karaoke. The entertainment team, Elizabeth and Mario stood out the most, just such good people (I was not pestered to bring them up in my review but they deserve recognition). I absolutely enjoyed the beach, quite, and they did an amazing job at trying to clean up the seaweed every morning. Overall, I suggest, if you are on the fence, GO.
