"If you take it for what it is, it's perfect. Clean, well maintained, and a helpful staff.
No frills though. You have to walk to the bathroom from the cabins. If you are down with that it's the best $65 a night place I've ever seen. TV works, the AC froze me out in the morning when I got up.
Thanks for a great stay while I toured Mesa Verde!"
"BEDBUGS BEDBUGS BEDBUGS
Room 118 bed by the window has BEDBUGS!! Over 20 bites!! Trip Advisory will have photos!! Hand swollen so bad that it was hard to ride the motorcycle after!! Face has the breakfast, lunch and dinner bites!! Leg is the worst with 11 bites in one spot!! Bites on the back too! Bedbugs lay eggs after they have feasted on humans, so there are hundreds or maybe thousands of eggs being laid right now in that room!! Floor was dirty, feet were dirty after walking on the floor....
"Upon entering the room, I discovered numerous serious issues that made the room unacceptable, including:
- Duct tape covering the door lock.
- No smoke alarm in the room, creating a significant safety hazard.
- A towel stuffed into the wall to hold the air conditioner in place.
- Hair on the pillows.
- Toilet paper stuffed into the peephole.
- Gum stuck behind the bed.
- A broken bed frame with exposed pieces protruding from the frame, creating a risk of injury.
- Toilet paper scattered on the...
"The listing lists the bathroom as part of the space, but it is shared. It also does not share that while there is no air conditioning (which fine, that is common in the mountains) there is also no fan or operable windows in the room. My room was 80 degrees when I arrived at 1 AM and there was nothing to be done about it. The hallway is also on an occupancy sensor that turns the hallway lights on and off all night, which shine into the rooms through windows above the doors. "
"Classic old mining town stay. The bar below is a staple in Rico and the accommodation transports you to those mining times, with wonderfully updated amenities. This is the second time we have stayed here, both times were easy, magical and comfortable. Cant wait to return! "
