Aberdeenshire and Moray Cheap Vacations

We booked the executive king room in September 2026. Looking at the hotel’s photos on their website shows a nice clean room with a table and chairs, desk, cushioned chair and a king bed. Well, when we got there, there were no chairs for the round table, the cushioned chair had some sort of stain on it, the carpets stained and other items had not been cleaned very well. The rooms are dated and worn. Caulking in the bathroom needed cleaning and replacing. The hallways were not the cleanest. One of the two elevators was still out of order and has been for some time now. However, in comparison to all of the other dozen places we stayed during this trip, The bed was large and very comfortable and the shower worked well. The wifi was good although you sign in using your email and then they send you offers. It was easy enough to unsubscribe though. The breakfast: Pay the day before for breakfast (£13.50 each) or they charge you £2.50 more per person the day of (£16.00). We weren’t told this and had to pay the extra money. Unfortunately we thought the juices tasted watered down and on one day it tasted mostly like water. By 8:30am on one of the days they stopped putting out any fresh food even though there was barely any fruit left and breakfast didn’t finish until 9:30am. I would say this is a 3 star hotel. It’s in a great location, they have nice beds air conditioning and wifi, however it’s dated and not very clean

Nice hotel. Clean and modern room with everything you need. Staff very helpful and friendly.
