(77 reviews) I usually read all the reviews to get my opinion on resorts I should stay at. Some reviews are up and down. But I take them with a little grain of salt. That being said. I wanted to share mine. Which I usually don't do. We had a wonderful stay here. The resort is beautiful. The rooms are clean. The staff is great. The cleaning people are sweet and helpful. The butlers are awesome and help with any questions or help set up your excursions. The water is beautiful. Was a little rough while we were there so we went to the other side of the island and were in calmer waters. The pool and jacuzzi near our room was great. There's also one by the beach which is nice. Food was so so. It's so expensive. My kids are so picky so it was difficult to satisfy all of them. My husband and son did utilize the grocery shuttle and did some shopping. Again it's expensive. But it is what it is. That's the whole island not just one specific place. Everything has to be shipped in. I did use swift eats and ordered food from one of the restaurants and it was good. Somewhere restaurant on the beach was really good. The snorkeling excursion was awesome. My husband and kids loved it. I enjoyed staying on the boat in the sun. Iguana island was cool. I also did the clear kyack photoshoot it was a cool experience. Travel to and from the airport was easy. All and all we loved it. I would definitely recommend this place. (300 reviews) 3 adults and 2 children stayed last week. The hotel itself is beautiful and our 2 bedroom suite (E204) was beautifully decorated. Rooms are individually decorated and others were not very nicely updated. We got a good rate and quickly realized it was due to major construction. We had an amazing view of the ocean off our living room, but our bedrooms and bathroom faced construction workers, large cranes, jackhammers, etc. all 15 feet away. The construction noise was very loud by the pool, as they do not play any music. It was not noticeable by the ocean. This is not a family friendly hotel. The front reception staff, pool bartender, and Grace's Cottage staff are all friendly to the older couples that seem to frequent this hotel. However, they were very cold to us and our children. The beach staff and breakfast waiters were wonderful though! There is a sign by the pool that reads "PLEASE...No Diving, No Games and No Noise Please." Some of the guests clearly did not appreciate kids being around, but others were very welcoming and friendly. Our children were well behaved but did laugh and play by the pool and beach. None of the other guests made any noise whatsoever. It was very, very quiet. Overall, hotel is beautiful minus the construction. The beachfront is the best I have ever experienced-very secluded. But, it is not family friendly or friendly in general. The other hotels in the area had VERY friendly and helpful staff so we frequented those places instead. Chairs clean and always covered with two towels set up for you on the spot. The staff was helpful and generous and attentive. The chefs are amazing and every meal I ate was better than the next! The drinks were strong and I never felt like I was being cheated out of anything. I was checked on constantly to make sure I didnt need anything whether I was by the pool or ocean! They helped with bookings and reservations too! Even the guests at the shore club were classy, fun, kind and just an elevated calibur of human! Complete opposite in mexico. Guest here came to relax and enjoy the luxury of calm, silence, great food, alone or couple time and my most favorite part was that there werent any kids runnign around screaming or splashing! I saw a few babies and they were so wonderful. I cant wait to go back here! I will never stay on grace bay after seeing longbay and staying here! This is my new home away from home!
