Love the stay here. Beautiful hotel with excellent restaurant! Great location for exploring Vienna. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was clean and tidy; the staff were very friendly; our room had everything we needed; the shower was particularly good; there was plenty of very nice food at breakfast. We liked very much that the hotel gives a €5 voucher for any day you don’t have your room cleaned. This could then be spent in the bar or restaurant - what a great idea! The hotel is in a good location, handy for trains and many bus lines. Our room overlooked the street which was a bit noisy with the windows open; but once they were shut we couldn’t hear anything. The extra tax that the city charges (currently 50c per person per night) to then provide a Guest Mobility ticket was fabulous. We got the train to Werfen and Zell am See; the bus to Bad Ischl and Hellbrunn Palace; and various buses and trams round the city and it cost us nothing at all with our Guest Mobility ticket. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone planning to visit Salzburg.

This was an excellent place to stay. We got a full-size apartment with kitchen, full bathroom, queen size bed, living room area, and a large open space. Very comfortable. Very quiet. Good elevator. Safe in room and front desk offers safe. Honored special requests. Very nice front desk people. We’re very pleased. Also, this is within walking distance of lots of interesting parts of the Inner Stadt.

Amazing hotel. Free mini fridge is a game changer. Modern rooms and greay locations!

Huge turnaround from close to one star to five stars due to front office manager Francesca. We had a valid complaint and she did things to compensate us that are above and beyond anything I have ever seen before.

It’s a beautiful hotel and a nice spacious room, a comfortable bed and very quiet, the free minibar is generously stocked. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it. My only negatives is the room is advertised as having an opera view, and it doesn’t. The view is very nice, overlooking a tiny park with trees that block the view. Also their website advertises Bang & Olufsen audio equipment, but this doesn’t exist, annoyingly I left my Bluetooth speaker at home.

While the hotel is older and not our usual choice, the Royal hotel is a perfect choice for the money, the location and the staff. There are also two excellent restaurants on site. Should we visit Vienna again, this is definitely where we would stay. Walk out of the hotel and you are in the center of all the action and across the street from St Stevens Church and only a 10-15 minute from the Imperial Ring and the Spanish Riding Stables (which are a must see).
