Air Transit check-in at the Venice, Italy airport was a problem. Counter staff were rude, gave us two of the same boarding pass instead of two separate boarding passes, then gave us only two luggage claim tickets even though we'd checked three bags. When we pointed this out, the woman insisted she'd given us all three, so somehow it was our fault. Perhaps the problem was that while she was serving us, she was also having an intense conversation and trying to sort out some problem with another agent. It took us at least twice as long to check in as it should have, because of this conversation she was having with someone else behind the counter. Toronto staff were awesome, as were the flight crew.
