We found a super last minute deal on expedia for this high end hotel. They allowed our dog to stay for $150 for 11 nights and so this was great! Staff was friendly and the room was clean and cozy. Great location that is close to jogging trails, beaches, nice little town of Encinatas and the beaches. Definitely would recommend this to others and stay again if the price was right! I would take note on the valet parking as this is an added fee of $35 a night! You can park down the hill and walk up...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tamarack Beach Resort! The staff was so courteous and friendly from the moment we arrived. The property, though older, is very well maintained, and the location right across from the beach can't be beat. There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance and the area seems very safe.
We had a first floor room with partial ocean view and made use of our outdoor patio every day for morning coffee, lunch, and evening sunsets.

This place is a hidden gem, and has a lot of great reviews which is why I chose this hotel and I have not been disappointed. Nice clean room, love the Spanish floor tiles, a good sized kitchenette with everything you could want and walking distance to the beach. There is also a nice open air restaurant next to the hotel
