It very much depends on which side of the hotel your room is on…half our party was on the old side where rooms and bathrooms were very much in need of upgrading. Luckily I was one of our group with rooms on the new side which were palatial in size and very nice. My only complaint would be the lack of lighting in our bathroom, it almost looked like they had removed lights, probably to comply with an eco drive but it was quite dark. Overall the hotel was in a good location, in walking distance of plenty of restaurants, museums and gardens.

I enjoyed my stay at Antillia. The location was just a 10-minute walk from the centre and it was quiet and comfortable. I was pleased to receive a free drink ticket as well as a tote bag and water bottle which was a nice touch. The indoor pool and sauna were great, and there was also an outdoor pool. I enjoyed the breakfast which was plentiful. I only noticed on the last day their sign about dietary requirements (talk to staff so they can help), but I still found a lot to eat as a vegan (breads, jams, fruit, soy milk, plain cereals, nuts). I also appreciated being able to leave my bag for free before check-in and after check-out.

The lovely room was clean, light and had everything we needed. Such a beautiful setting, and design. We loved it, The pool and spa area was great. It was disappointing that there were no options for a light evening meal at the hotel, only an expensive set menu, especially as it’s quite a drive to town. Also no food or drinks available during the day apart from snacks late afternoon. Coffee and tea was provided in the rooms but no milk available. I was reluctantly given some from the kitchen, but told to buy my own in town.
