"The front desk staff was lovely and when I said I was having a bad day, gave me chocolate bars. Everything about our stay was lovely except for two things - the coffee bar for a nice hotel is an expected given - this one was like being at a Holiday Inn Express with paper cups in plastic bags and crappy, cheap individual creamers. Also it was very noisy in the rooms that faced the road - I kept thinking our window was open (it didn't open) - so in the future, given how busy / loud the traffic is on the main road through Silverthorne, windows should be replaced."

"When booking, I missed that this hotel does not have air conditioning. I was traveling during August (what I consider the hotest month of the year). They do have a fan for you to put in the window to circulate in air from the outside, but to do so the curtains have to be open; you won't have privacy. I did happen to have a small fan in my car during the trip to have next to my bed, but I ended up not needing/using it since I got used to the temperature in the room. There is also no elevator. Other than those, Snowshoe Motel is a decent place to stay. The owner was great and accomodating when I let him know earlier that day I was running late for the check-in. The bed was nice. Breakfast had a nice assorment of things to eat. I would stay here again."

"The suite, the view, are an absolute yes. First Contact - The Valets are top notch! They tell you what they will do before they do it. Front Desk - Check in, with Kevin was quick and painless. The valets again - opens the room door for me and begins to walk me through the suite. Once done, he asks, if everything is satisfactory and if he may remove my luggage from the cart. The view. The view of the mountains, was amazing. I would do it again."
