« What a magic place in the world. Naqalia Lodge might be the best place I ever stayed and God knows I have been traveling! It is not a 5 star hotel and the accommodations are very simple but you have everything you need. Sleeping with the wind on your face and the sound of waves, mosquitoes nets everywhere for you to be well. This I will miss a lot. « L'ile est très agréable mais très petite. Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique mais pas toujours efficace. Cependant, l'hôtel Sraton ne merite pas ses 5 étoiles pour les raisons suivantes: - Notre cmbre (Island Breeze) était sombre et pas très grande - Une seule pauvre chaise (inconfortable): pas de canapé ou d'autre siège pour s'assoir - Une toute petite terrasse extérieure sans ombre et sans chaises longues. Justes deux petites chaises en plein soleil. Donc terrasse inutilisable...

"What a shame… this place may have had an amazing potential. Unfortunately my stay was incredibly disappointing. The good sides : - The bures are in good shape and the room is agreable close to the sea hearing the waves - the food is ok and in big quantities - The spot is beautiful and the snorkeling is nice What made me shorten my stay from 5 nights to 2 : - The lady in charge here was of no help whatsoever, unnice, asking for money ahead of any request - I had rats or bats fighting in the ceiling of my bure making soooo much noise at night, didnt sleep much, but didn’t get any assistance. I stayed my 2 nights with my family of rats… - One member of the staff made inappropriate propositions to me on the very first evening. Offered to stay in my room and sleep with me. As a solo traveler this is never reassuring. I would advise solo women to avoid this place by any means. A few other women were here at the same time and felt inappropriate heavy unwelcome flirting. - They put pictures of the pool on the booking websites but there is no pool. Everything is falling into ruins. - They charge you for the small boat to pick you up from the ferry but don’t tell you in advance. 30$ for less than 2 minutes of boat seams a bit of a stretch - Electricity is on only 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours at diner. But in reality they don’t respect the time and it is more like 1.5 hours. - Finally, this is not the lodge’s fault but the beach is incredibly shallow, you can walk for 15"

"What a magic place in the world. Naqalia Lodge might be the best place I ever stayed and God knows I have been traveling! It is not a 5 star hotel and the accommodations are very simple but you have everything you need. Sleeping with the wind on your face and the sound of waves, mosquitoes nets everywhere for you to be well. This I will miss a lot. Showers are cold but you don’t really need hot showers as the temperature is quite warm even in the evenings. The spot in itself is for everyone else that stayed here while I was there including me, the best snorkeling spot we’ve seen so far with the most amazing plate corals with all types of colors. Incredible! The activities are great between fishing, hiking (steep climbs!), going to the village is also a must to meet the children. You never get bored and have time to relax during your day and snorkel all day! The meal plan is perfect, you are never hungry and the food is good. Breakfast is the best!! And finally, the kindness, the continuous efforts of the team to make you happy, to make you feel at home but also to get to know you and share their history and culture with you. Oni, Sia, Aku, Manu, Mana, Toui a very big THANK YOU. I will remember your kindness and generosity forever! "
