![Wallops Island Virginia, USA. This island is just a few miles from Chincoteaque island which is well known for the wild ponies that live on and around the beach. 
Rockets are now  launched from Wallops island that provide provisions for ISS (International Space Station) . It is very accessible to the public for viewing launches. On Tuesday, the 28th of October we traveled to the see this Antares rocket launch but it immediately exploded and I got the shot. Not what we wanted to see but at least there was no one hurt. This is a really great place to visit if you want to view rocket launches and also visit Chincoteaque and Assateague wild ponies.

« Safe location, easy free parking. Motel in excellent area near bridge to Assateague National Park. Clean room that felt as comfortable as being at home. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delivered to us in the AM time window of our choice, tea/coffee bar always open. Family operated with a wonderful history of serving visitors properly. Excellent experience! »

![Wallops Island Virginia, USA. This island is just a few miles from Chincoteaque island which is well known for the wild ponies that live on and around the beach. 
Rockets are now  launched from Wallops island that provide provisions for ISS (International Space Station) . It is very accessible to the public for viewing launches. On Tuesday, the 28th of October we traveled to the see this Antares rocket launch but it immediately exploded and I got the shot. Not what we wanted to see but at least there was no one hurt. This is a really great place to visit if you want to view rocket launches and also visit Chincoteaque and Assateague wild ponies.
