"We stayed in the Rhubarb room and lived the complete kitchen with a huge wet bar! Also having a coffee table and comfortable chairs/sofa was nice. Plenty of beds (5) for most families. The check in process was slightly confusing. Read the email carefully. The entry door was tough to find but it is right by the Restaurant du Banneret. The location was perfect, right by the Chateau. "Great breakfast. Dinner expensive. The hotel has been undergoing renovations since 2024 and there is still a fair bit to do. Because of scaffolding a lot of the balconies and windows are locked shut. There is no air conditioning. Luckily we changed to a room that had opening windows and balcony. The indoor spa areas were closed but the 2outdoor thermal pools were great.The hotel has lovely tall domed ceilings and will be fabulous once finished. A lot of the bedrooms still need decorating and I don’t think there are plans for air conditioning which could be a problem in the summer.We had a great couple of days but would check state of rooms and amenities before booking."
