Loved the location right off the canal but away from the main tourist area. It could get a little loud with boat traffic, but that is to be expected when you have a canal room like this. I'm glad we splurged for the canal view room. This location is also very near the train station. It was maybe a 5 minute walk. I saw people lugging their bags all over Venice being so grateful I didn't even have to deal with stairs until I got to the hotel. The girl at reception was very nice. Room was as described. My only complaint, which won't affect my score, but is the bed. The mattress was very old and worn out. Firstly the location was really good. Only about a 5 minute walk from the main train station and in a great spot with lots around you. When arriving there are a few stairs to climb without a lift which was tough but let's face it, you only have to take your suitcase up there once so hardly an issue. It's quite a small hotel and the staff were really helpful with recommendations and anything else we needed. The room itself was pretty basic but the bathrooms had clearly been referbished recently and everything was perfectly clean. The breakfast wasn't brilliant and was next door up more stairs in quite a hot room however, it served a purpose and didn't bother us too much.
