« This house was perfect for our family (6 adults - my wife and I and our 2 children and their spouses). It is remote enough for quiet and relaxation, yet close enough to Houghton and many great attractions in the Keweenaw The views of Lake Superior are stunning, especially at sunset. Spacious, well-furnished, comfortable, and delightful are suitable adjectives to describe the Superior Retreat. »

« Very nice location and house. The spiral stairs to the upper level were a little narrow and a handrail would help from the garage into the house but otherwise a wonderful place and highly recommend. We would definitely book again. Thanks. »

« This rental apartment was perfect. My college friend and I came up for our first snowmobile trip of the year This place is literally right on the atv/snowmobile trail. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property owner, Vernon, responded within minutes to all questions. And to make things even better the the South Range Pub (popular snowmobile hangout) and the 1902 Tap and Grill are basically across the street. Unfortunately packers lost but the South Range Pub was a great...

« We stayed here for two nights. The place is definitely off the beaten path and we liked it. Just be aware that the unpaved road is a little rough this time of year. We met the owner Mike not long after checking in and he was a really nice guy. I might try to come back during deer hunting (bow) season. »

« Didn’t seem like a bad area but all of the business buildings are not businesses anymore. The property is in an old building, which is unique and the idea is great. The problem is that the unit smells very strongly of old building. I felt like it was not clean because of the smell. Cool idea but I would not stay again »

« The outside of the building doesn’t represent how the place is on the inside. It’s a nice clean and well taken care of apartment that was comfy to stay in. Relatively quiet just noisy cars driving by at night. Very nice place to stay and a not very far from Houghton so it’s definitely a place I’d revisit. »
