"We spent 4 nights at this lodge between 28Dec-1Jan and it was excellent. From check in to check out the process was seamless and we had everything we needed. Lodge was cozy, clean and warm and the bathrooms had actually been updated so were newer and nicer than the pics. Area was lovely and quiet. Had a carvery at the Cider barn restaurant about 5 min drive away and we drove into Weston Super Mare (20 mins) and got wristbands for the pier and did ice skating. "This is an amazing property………Classic somerset cottage equipped with all modern conveniences. Super quiet (well a few tractors collecting the harvest!). We all slept very well. It takes 30 mins to walk into Ilminster along a country trail past Dillington Hall for those that like a good walk. About 8 mins by car. We made day trips to the Haynes motor museum (amazing if you are a car buff…..some days they bring cars out of the museum and you can ‘poke around’ at them) and to Lyme Regis, which has...
