His apartment is simple and small, but had everything we needed for our one week stay in Tokyo. The apartment is a 3 min walk from the grocery store and about a 5 min walk from the train station, making access to all of Tokyo very easy. Given how close Komegome station is, the place is very easy to get to. Also, Maki provided excellent instructions on how to get to the place so we could easily find it and not be overwhelmed upon arriving in Tokyo. The area has some great restaurants and good shopping. It’s not an overly tourist area, which I enjoyed. The apartment is absolutely perfect for the Yamanote Line, just a 5 minute walk. Plus a metro line, which offers further options. The grocery stores are good nearby. The apartment could benefit from some extra space for storing clothes and suitcases etc. The shower is good and kitchen equipment more than adequate for any cooking needs. The washing machine is good and there’s a balcony to hang clothes. The air conditioning was a must for us. Especially during the extremely hot weather. Kamagome is a quiet, slow-paced neighborhood that was perfect to get away from the craziness of Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, etc). It is a perfect stop on the Yamanote line and the shops in the neighborhood were perfect. Maki's communication was spectacular and we had zero problems. The apartment was perfect for my self, my sister, and my 2 adult children. The space was a little tight, but that's a city for you! The working AC in both rooms helped with the sweltering summer heat. The western kitchen table/chairs, the stove and refrigerator was very convenient for breakfast and late dinner after arriving very late due to the cancellations of the shinkansen from kyoto during the Typhoon and Obon-Yasumi week. Overall the apartment itself is a good one but the building maintenance (smell in the elevator and dirt/vomit/cans in stairwell) needs some work. The apartment felt typical for Tokyo. I'd be happy to stay here again. ##### Matthew W. The place was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Aside from being very close to the station there were lots of shops all around.
