"I liked the setting. The grounds were beautiful. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was always too hot. No air conditioning, and we were only able to open the window a tiny crack. They had no bellhop to help with bags up the stairs at the front door. Upon checking out of the hotel we had to argue with the receptionist to get help with our luggage. We were not told about a way to address the bad tasting water coming out of our tap until I took a container down to the bar to get water there. It turns out they have water refill stations on each floor. The food served to us at breakfast was only average quality. This is not the 5 star hotel that they lead you to believe it is. It is not worth the prices you pay to stay here. They are doing well serving tour groups on large busses for an overnight stay. I was greatly disappointed in all respects."
"This place is one of our favorites! The bar was so quaint and the staff so friendly! We really enjoyed our dinner and live music at the bar! The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable!"
Exclusive new 3000 sq. foot vacation home with spectacular ocean views
10/10 Excellent
"This was the 3rd time we stayed at this home. Always a pleasure to deal with Anthony and Deirdre! Love how easy it is to accommodate large groups. My family and I love how clean and well cared for the home is. Hope to visit soon again! "
"Great location. Could use some updates in the room and facility. I think they are planning to reopen the hotel restaurant. Overall comfy and close to most activities."
"This charming home was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The location is ideal if you are looking for calm and quiet with absolutely gorgeous views. It was an easy drive to everything we wanted to do in the Connemara region, from Kylemore Abbey to Cleggan to hop on a boat to Inishbofin. The home is very well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable, including cookery, laundry, and even a few toys in the hutch that our son kept himself occupied with after a day of exploring. 10/10 recommend!"
"Remote location, book dinner in town if you’re going to want to eat. We arrived later after a late lunch and brought crackers and cheese etc for a light dinner. Wolfgang and Maria are wonderful. Great shared spaces to have a drink from the honesty bar and meet other travellers. Breakfast was fantastic!
The Burren was a real treat to see.
