"Gotta not be so cheap with the aspirin tablet like soap bars, the cheap toilet paper too slick to grip. Other than little things like that the stay was ‘quiet’ and beds comfortable which is what you want. Oh, and the tv which had a channel list button but did not show the name of the station so trying to watch march madness games on 4 different channels took forever scrolling to find! Then had to write them down. Uncertain why all these little things even exist. Fix these. Staff was great. "

"I have stayed at HOM since they opened, years ago. It had become a tad tired, last time I stayed there, but they have renovated and the entire place looks great. The rooms were very reasonable - especially as it was spring break - clean, super comfortable beds. The sheets were actually a bottom fitted sheet - nice. Lots of pillows and light duvet. The A/C actually worked well. There was a fridge and a microwave. New faux wooded floors and a little seating area made it nice. One of the things I like is they put roll down shades, so no light leakage (of course door cracks and infinite glowing lights in rooms are everywhere today) Common area was pleasant and inviting and breakfast was very nice. Great coffee, real half and half, the staff kept their eye on the food and service areas and it was clean and stocked. The ultimate compliment is for the customer service. I had made a mistake with my reservation, thought I was going to end up with two rooms at the last minute. Sierra (I hope I spelled her name right) helped me via text. At that time, I'd asked for the name of the person who helped me, but they just said "glad to help" When I checked out, I wanted to find out who this person was, because nowadays, helpfulness like that is rare. She happened to be there and remembered the situation. The young woman was so pleasant and helpful. I could've seen this situation turn into "too bad, you messed up, can't help" Instead, she cared and helped. What an asset! "

"When I saw the deal on this room I was worried about the location it was in. However, I was pleased to see it right in the middle of some really nice hotels. When we walked into our room and turned the light on hundreds of bed bugs went scurrying back to their hiding places. We ran out of there quickly and the staff was great in giving us another room. Unfortunately though I was not able to sleep at all because of what I was worried would be coming out at night. Thank goodness it was just a one night stay or else I would have gone somewhere else. Check your room at night if staying there. Bed bugs don’t come out in the day. "

"My sisters surgery at Shands was postponed and they charged me the full price for both nights! Didn't even let me cancel with a 1 night penalty. That is inhuman."

"The host had the property double booked and never responded to me until an hour after check in and I was left hanging. VRBO offered me a total of 120 credit towards a future booking. Ridiculous! Totally put me and 2 of my team members in a really tough position trying to find 3 rooms last minute. Brutal!"
