Since the property has been newly renovated, it stands to reason that the experience should be good. Good basic accommodations were provided and it was comfortable and seemed secure. The staff was very capable and went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Only real complaint was a squeaky bathroom door and the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. A little larger refrigerator would have made the the stay fantastic! The parking lot is tight and it is tough to park larger vehicles. The remote for tv did not work. The shower looked like it had black mold in it. The pool was unuseable. Thank god the ac worked. The toilet seat was lose from the toilet. If they renovate the property, get rid of all the nasty musty carpeting, some flat screen TVs and high-speed internet, they can raise the prices a lot. GNV in general does not have good hotels, so even less to be expected from a motel. The internet was very slow and iffy, so I ended up going to the UF library. Having stayed at the Hilton UF Conference center for a much higher rate and basically getting similar service in a far flung location, I can say this: save your money and stay at this cheap dingy motel in a much better location in downtown GNV.
