The MOODY MANOR is the perfect refuge after an action-packed day exploring the nation's oldest city. A 2 bedroom, 2 bath home conveniently located in the Fullerwood neighborhood near uptown St. Augustine. Here, you'll enjoy easy access to the best shops, restaurants, and attractions San Marco Avenue offers. The neighborhood is just a few minutes drive to Vilano Beach.
Century-old oak trees surround this historic home and give you the comforts of having your own Florida oasis. Whether exploring the city for historical interests, escaping for a romantic getaway, or spending quality time with family, this home is well-equipped to provide you with everything you need for a hassle-free retreat.
This peaceful gem has comfort, style, and ambiance for a relaxing stay. The home boasts an array of cozy niche spaces: An inviting front porch perfect for your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening, a hidden dedicated workspace off the dining room, a private screened-in lanai equipped with a smart projector for entertainment (complete with several seating options and patio lighting for ambiance), as well as an exceptional custom-built outdoor shower.
Guests have private use of the main house, with access through the front door. Access to the home is limited to the south wall of the enclosed lanai, adjacent to the secret garden. The shaded back deck and laundry facility are shared spaces for guests in the MINI MOODY. Parking for guests is restricted to the street with enough parking for 4 vehicles. *Please note parking in the driveway and carport is restricted.

  • Day 1 of my road trip across the USA brought me to my favorite city in Florida, St. Augustine; the oldest city in the country, and easily one of the most beautiful. 👇🏽 I snapped this shot at Fort Mose Historic State Park. This incredible site is a U.S. National Historic Landmark, and the rich history of this place is something that every school should be teaching our youth. 👇🏽 Hidden away in the marshes of St. Augustine is one of the most important sites in American history: the first free community of ex-slaves, founded in 1738 and called Gracia Real de Santa Teresa de Mose or Fort Mose (pronounced Moh-Say). Fort Mose played an extremely important role in the development of colonial North America. 👇🏽 As early as 1687, the Spanish government had begun to offer asylum to slaves who managed to escape from British colonies (the first Underground Railroad ran SOUTH to Florida from the colonies!). In 1693, the Spanish Crown officially proclaimed that runaways would find freedom in Florida, in return for converting to Catholicism and a term for men of four years' military service to the Crown. In effect, Spain created a maroon settlement in Florida as a front-line defense against English attacks from the north. Spain also intended to destabilize the plantation economy of the British colonies by creating a free black community to attract slaves seeking escape and refuge from British slavery. 👇🏽 Fort Mose was the first free African settlement legally sanctioned in what would become the United States and had a total population of about 100. The village had a wall around it, with dwellings inside, plus a church and an earthen fort. 👇🏽 The history of Fort Mose is far deeper, and far more interesting then I can convey on @Instagram so please do your own reading on it and learn more about the very earliest history of what is now the United States.

Every detail of the home is put together so nicely! The quality of furniture and linen is of the highest standard and our stay was simply exceptional!! The Christmas Tree was such a beautiful touch to an elegant weekend!

Great Place

Very clean and organized. My 9 year old son loved the gold silverware (goldware?). The porch area was great for stillitti g as a family and talking. Very comfortable beds. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, with no major traffic. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is an amazing little gem of a home! We loved every detail. So beautifully decorated with little whimsical touches everywhere. The bedding was high quality. The kitchen is nicely appointed. The outdoor space is comfortable. So close to downtown and the beach, and the neighborhood is great. We will definitely be back!
