Very cool and classic looking because of the use of individual light bulbs. A bit of a challenge to photograph since it's only illuminated when there is a performance at the venue. The Southern Theatre is the oldest surviving theatre in central Ohio and one of the oldest in the state, the Southern Theatre opened in 1896. The theatre was closed in 1979. The theatre was gifted to the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts in 1986.
