The property is clean and functional and the beds comfortable. Nothing to do with the Hotel but when you plan to stay in Kirkenes make sure there is not a music festival. The noise outside goes on until the early hours of the morning. We were on an early flight out and got very little sleep. The other guests were very noisy as well. There is also pub/club next door with people making a fair amount of noise on the street.

Better options exist
This is an old property. A 3-block walk from the airport bus stop. Very limited front desk hours. No tea option in the lobby. No elevator but a dumbwaiter for your baggage. Breakfast box available for 950 Kronos that wasn’t worth it. Room was fine but no frills. Internet OK.

Liked the location. Didn’t like: no 24 hr staffing although I did some work arounds like place my luggage in hallway since it was too early to check in. No soap. Dispensers were empty & bottle on bathroom counter was empty. I was already wet in the shower when I realized the problem so I added water to the bottle to get some soap from the bottom. Tv not working. Drain in bathroom sink slow. Toilet does not flush well.

Hotel in town
I would call this an upmarket hostel. Lovely private room with ensuite, a communal kitchen so hot drinks available, microwave etc. Free tea and coffee was also available in the reception area. The hotel is opposite the small shopping centre, i loved staying here. A short walk to Hotel Scandic for the airport bus to Hurtigruten or the airport. The local bus doesn't go to Hurtigruten but does do to the airport.

Expected no frills, which it was. Clean, easy check in, nice shower. TV cable broken, several lamps not plugged in, but fine for a nighti. Good location.

Hotel was very run down, and tired. Breakfast included a disassembled sandhwich in the fridge of a third floor bedroom, and the shower was 400 years old and merely flooded the bathroom while simultaneously melting my skin off.

If you are just looking for a bed for the night this place is ok. I would not call it an hotel. There is no reception, a pre made breakfest can be ordered the day before. There are no facilities other than a TV and internet. There is a chinese restaurant on the ground floor where you collect your key. The room was basic but clean.

What a Dump! Yuck!
This hotel was a total dump. The place is old, dreary and depressing. It is awful and we couldn't wait to leave. Stay elsewhere! The room was dirty and the fixtures and furniture were ancient and crappy. Bedspread was that cheesy shiny polyester that you don't want to touch. Bathroom was dilapidated, too. Shelf and tabletops were dirty and had some stray nails on them. Window sill was covered in dust. It's the kind of place where you don't want to go barefoot in the room. The owner even tried to scam us by telling us that a taxi to the dock to board the Hurtigruten cruise the next morning would be expensive for the short 2 kilometer ride. He said he would drive us there for half the cost of a cab ride. We called the cab company to inquire about the price and they quoted us half of what this owner tried to charge us! Wow! Not only is this dump way overpriced but the owner tried to scam us by "offering" to charge us double the cost of a taxi to the boat dock. We are amazed that Orbitz gives this place a 3.7 rating as nothing could be less accurate! Even by a stretch of the imagination, this place rates no more than a 1 or 2 out of 5. You couldn't pay me to stay in this hotel again.

Bare-bones, but good value.
We arrived very late but were greeted warmly. No elevator; however, our luggage was taken to a higher floor in a dumb-waiter. We left before anyone arrived in the morning; however, we left the key on the desk as instructed. The starkness of the hotel seemed to 'match' the starkness of Kirkenes.

Står at innsjekking er kl 13.00. Når jeg kom dit på det kl.slettet ble det sagt på engelsk at jeg måtte vente i 10 minutter. Det tok 1 time før jeg fikk rom, det er for dårlig! Rommet var litt gammelt og varmekablene på badet var veldig varme, kunne ikke stilles på, kun av eller på. Men tven og systemet med å kunne caste var helt glimrende.

Hotell fra Helvete....
Måtte vente lenge før noe kom i resepsjonen. Fikk nøkkel, kom opp på rommet å det var enormt skittent. Gikk ned fikk nøkkel til ett annet rom men det var enda værre. Ble tilbudt pengene tilbake men hvor skulle vi bo alt var fullbooket i Kirkenes pga VM SKUTERCROSS. Det ble til at jeg måtte vaske rommet selv for å hæres å sove der. Han i resepsjonen kom opp og kostet litt, men dette rommet burde rund vaskes. *Det var ikke vasket under sengene bare mitt på gulvet. *det var brukt snus i natt bord hylla og under senga, papir i krok og tabletter på gulvet under seng. * det var ikke vasket i vinduskarm og lister. * kaffe flekker på bord. * skittent med matrester i kjøleskap *søl på vegger etter noe som var rent nedover. * søl på dører og lysbrytere *papp kopp med noe pulver oppe på lyset på badet. * veggflisene i dusjen og rundt dusjen var det mugg ol i fugene så vi hærtes ikke å dusje. * det var ikke vasket undet toalett ringen der var det fullt av urin og avføring. IKKE LEI DEG ET ROM HÆR.......DETTE ER HELSESKADELIG Å NO HÆR. IKKE BO PÅ DETTE HOTELLET. Ett pluss ...rene sengklær og greie senger.
