« Some distance from the main road and no neighboor next to my room so it was quiet and I slept well. The room need to be renovated. Everything is dark and smell bad. Althoug smoking is forbidden since many years, the old smoke smell has not been removed. Armchair, A/C, bedspread and curtains are very old and shall be changed. Lighting is insufficient. »

« The two rooms over my stay, were excellent to beyond excellent. The second was as good as the first but needed to have wooden furniture replaced. Someone recently purchased the place and is in the process of renewing it. When it came to structural issues, all appeared brand new. Breathtaking in the sense of a renewed property. Carpet, walls, bathroom and so forth. The halls were similar. The exterior showed how far the interior must have come. Painting or siding replacement is in order...

« I always enjoy staying at hotel Millwork- centrally located, unique transformation of an old woolen mill into a modern hotel. This stay was overall good. 4/5 only because they’re one option for breakfast, which is their restaurant, was not operational the morning I left because apparently the waitress didn’t show up. There were very few other options in the Amana‘s for breakfast and the staff really had no solution to the problem. Otherwise, a good stay. »

« The room had an odor of smoke. The bathroom door was stuck on the floor. You really had to push or pull the door to make it move, and it didn’t close all the way. »

« The place was beautiful the owners were so nice and amazing. We spent the weekend between Amana Colonies and Iowa City. It was close to all the places we wanted to go and visit. I will defently stay there again if I am back in Iowa. »

« The room had a smell to it, not a bad smell but, not a good smell either. I was not able to adjust the thermostat for the a/c. To raise the temperature because it was too cold the heat would come on. The exterior back door to the parking lot did not lock. The room was not like the picture on line. The bathroom was half painted. Not enough seating for breakfast. »

« The hotel was quiet and the room was generally clean. The downside was the hallways smelled of cigarettes and an odd mix of food/spices that carried over to the rooms. I ended up purchasing an air freshener for our room. The pool was cold (79 degrees). »

« The room was clean, getting there was another story. Outdoor garbage was overflowing, inside garbage was overflowing, there were empty beer bottles on the tables in the lobby and no one was around. The elevators were filthy, was worried what our room was going to look like. However, it was clean and cool, the bed was comfy. It is literally right next to interstate 80 so the traffic noise is real. »
