My partner and I stayed in the cabin during our visit to Yosemite; it's about an hour drive to the western park entrance, and about two hours from the cabin to the Yosemite Valley. The cabin itself is very well maintained and has everything you need (outside of an oven/range, but the owners have a nice gas grill outside for your use). We enjoyed walking around Sonora during our day off from hiking and had breakfast at Bon Appetit multiple times (excellent French pastries, quiche, and crepes).
