The view from our balcony was beautiful. It overlooked the canal. The room was pleasant, the beds were comfortable.

As expressed in previous reviews, this is a well-loved hotel that looks a bit tired. However, it was clean and just fine to spend the night. Staff were lovely and helpful.
The balcony was dirty and no outdoor chairs to sit in but wouldn't matter you have to stand up to look over a concrete wall. The staff was really nice 5 star for them.

Hotel is outdated, but to be expected for the price. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, good continental breakfast, and in a good location. If you're high maintenance and looking for high end, this is not the place. Its priced accordingly. Overall the hotel had what we needed for a decent night stay after a family wedding!
Good location , rooms and bathrooms need much more attention to detailed cleaning.
Breakfast was ok. Building needs upgrades.

The hotel has a beautiful location on the Redeau Canal and parkland on the other side. From the rear of the building where you drive in you see none of this. What a shame. They have a renovation coming up soon. Perhaps they will address the bad impression when people arrive at the back not the front. Either redo the back entrance making it glamorous or direct the arrival traffic to the beautiful front entrance. Victoria
Khan at the front desk was so amazing! Extremely helpful and kind with everything I needed during my staff. The property is a bit outdated, but overall it’s a great stay for the price point. I would definitely stay here again 😊
The area around the hotel was very loud from the bar attached to the hotel. Lots of people in the parking lot causing a ruckus. Didn’t feel my vehicle was safe where it was parked. The lobby smelled terrible of smoke. Staff didn’t come to help even after repeatedly calling on the after hours phone. Left after almost an hour of waiting. Never ended up staying and was successful at getting a refund through Expedia and Choice Hotels

Had a great sleep and the staff were great. Only complaints; the shower wasn't quite hot enough, and there should have been some eggs available for breakfast.

We stayed for just one night before our Le Boat rental. This hotel is literally a three minute walk from Le Boat. Very convenient for that. The hotel is a little dated. Not as nice as it looks in the pictures but overall it was clean and well kept. The only issue we had was the handle for the sink faucet was not screwed on so it would come off in your hand if you didn’t use two hands to hold it on as you turn the water on. Since we were basically only there to sleep and leave the next morning I didn’t bother to tell the staff until check out. I would stay here again.
The property is very, very old and musty and seems like it hasn’t been updated since it was built. The air quality was bad. It is also dark and dingy, especially in the hallways. The elevator is very small and unpleasant to ride. The carpets are very old. I didn’t feel comfortable there. The good points were the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and the view from the room facing the canal was nice. It may have been a nice property when it was originally built, but it is definitely well past its prime. I would not stay there again, even at a low rate.
The bed was clean, but the room needed updating, no fan in bathroom so mold on ceiling, TV didn’t work & balcony had mold as well. We only needed it to sleep, I wouldn’t want to stay there any longer.
Loved it, was probably the best motel I've ever been to. The staff is very friendly, and there is a very nice canal in the back. There is a bar in the lobby as well full of townies, and the rooms are nice. This is the place to stay if you're in the area.
It's unfortunate that a property like this has not been kept up or improved to take it up a notch or two. Great, scenic location off the Rideau River. Beautiful river views, but the building is old and needs some TLC. It was okay for a nights sleep, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking to spend some holiday travels in the area and quiet time on the balcony looking over the river. Much potential, but it's aging away.
