During Jaime II's reign, a castle for the Majorcan kings was built in Sineu. Today this castle is a convent. Despite the fact that today Sineu is a small rural town, it used to be one of the most important cities on the island.If you take a walk through the center of Sineu, you will come across various monuments and details from the golden age of Sineu. One of the main attractions of Sineu is its architecture, and to highlight that you will find the oldest rural hospital in Mallorca, which dates from 1240\. The main square of Sineu called "Plaza Des Fossar" is full of small cafes and restaurants, to enjoy of this charming town. Its weekly market, held on Wednesdays, attracts thousands of tourists and residents, and is also the only market in Mallorca where cattle are still sold. Very well connected to the historic center of Palma and many towns, thanks to the train that its stop is only 100 meters away. Private use of the entire property. Das Haus bietet drei geräumige Schlafzimmer und drei moderne Bäder, was perfekt für uns war. Der große Wohnraum und die offene Wohnküche sind ideal, um gemeinsame Abende zu verbringen – die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen! Der Höhepunkt ist definitiv der Pool, der uns an heißen Tagen herrlich erfrischt hat. Die schöne Terrasse mit der überdachten Sitzgelegenheit und dem Grill ist ein traumhafter Ort für entspannte Abende im Freien. Hier konnten wir viele unvergessliche Stunden verbringen. Die Lage in Sineu ist perfekt, um die charmante Umgebung zu erkunden. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Insgesamt war es ein traumhafter Aufenthalt, und ich kann dieses Ferienhaus jedem empfehlen, der einen erholsamen Urlaub auf Mallorca sucht! ##### Bernd R. We weren’t disappointed! Half an hour drive from the airport; other options are the train from Palma with the station a 2 minute walk from the house. Easy to find with simple instructions from the host. He was there to meet us and answered questions that we had about eating, shopping etc. House itself is excellent. 3 big bedrooms upstairs…1 double and 2 twins. Double has en suite shower room, further bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is almost open plan kitchen, dining, living with a further shower room. Great and easy access outside to the pool area, covered eating and also relaxing area. Gas BBQ is a great addition. 5 minutes walk maximum to either the supermarket or agromart; less than that to the village square and the selection of bakeries, butcher, cafes and pubs. All in, we’d highly recommend this place and plan to return next year. Loads of decent places to eat just a short walk away.
