"I would describe the room as clean and simple. For the area, it was a good deal for the money. I appreciated that it had a microwave and fridge, which other places we stayed in the area did not have. It felt like the room could use some updating in its physical features as well as decor, but we slept great and were thankful to be SO close to YNP—just a few minutes outside the park!! The campfire in the outdoor area was very welcoming when we arrived! And the host greeted us and checked us in quickly!"
Lamar Valley Mountain Cabin

"The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The is a really nice house.The check-in was easy as the host had a code already programmed into the front lock. However, we didn't arrive for the first time until fairly late, about 9pm, and we had some trouble finding the house. It's very dark and without cell coverage you can't call the host. Just plan on getting there earlier.One thing you should know about. When you walk to the main floor bathroom, you go right past the open steps down to the basement. I mean they are right there, like 1 ft away. If I had a toddler or an unsteady older person, I might think about that."
Pilot Peak Cabin

"The price may seem a bit high for some but the location and comfort of this cabin made our first trip to Yellowstone all the more wonderful. The cabin’s proximity to the Lamar Valley was unexpectedly perfect! Each morning and evening we would drive through this gorgeous valley to and from the cabin. The wildlife we saw was so great that our trip back and forth became our favorite part of the day. The cabin was warm, clean and easy to find. Jason answered all of my questions and was an excellent host. The cabin is roomy and had most things we needed and the star-gazing is unmatched! This is worth a stay and I highly recommend. If I ever return to Yellowstone the Pilot Peak Cabin will be my first choice!"
Yellowstone Park - 1/2 Mile-Silver Gate

"This cabin is wonderfully close to the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone which makes it so quick to get to the Northern part of the park. The cabin is charming, delightful and has a very vintage feeling and look. I loved the log walls and the artwork on the walls. The host, Marcia is very quick to respond and provided answers to all questions I had almost immediately. She is an established author and gifted us with one of her books on Yellowstone, which was very appreciated. There is a resident caretaker if the host isn't there to assist with anything you may need. They live on site in a separate house, but you would never know anyone was there until you need something and service is immediate. We enjoyed the house and our stay very much and would indeed return to this cabin in the future. If there is one recommendation I would make it would be to update the listing on the VRBO website. As it reads now, it states 1 car garage is available, but the host does keep a car in there, so it really wasn't available for us to use, It was one of the reasons we did select this cabin as we do prefer to keep our rental cars in garages. However, it is only a suggestion to update the listing to account for lack of a garage. It didn't deter from the home nor would it impact any future bookings, it's a wonderful home in a great location. Thank you Marcia for everything."

"We had a great time. We wanted to go to Yellowstone and it was right by it. The only thing that I would have liked was to have a little more pots and pans. The addition of a frying pan would be great."

"Perfectly located a mile from the north east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Nice and quiet setting with limited cell service and no TV really helps unwind. Friendly community and beautiful scenery."
