The deadbolt on the front door looked as if it had been kicked in and haphazardly repaired. Some windows were painted shut, others were unable to be locked. Both of those pose a safety concern, especially in that area. There were roach traps everywhere, exposed flooring covered by carpet strips, and the futon...

« The house was as described. It’s an older farmhouse so there are some cute / fun quirks. Unfortunately it was all overshadowed by the lack of cleanliness in the house and poor communication. There was hair everywhere, the towels smelled moldy, there were bugs crawling all over the walls, and crumbs / dirt throughout the first floor. We tried repeatedly to contact the host via VRBO app and email, but we couldn’t get in touch until after our stay ended. »
