"Our room (33) was very good - spacious with an excellent en suite. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional (especially Sue at breakfast). We didn’t use it but there’s a lovely big swimming pool

"Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the family room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot and cold options and the food tasted great. 15 minute drive on quiet roads to Longleat which was main purpose of our weekend. "
"Polite staff, good service and knowledgeable of the area.
Property could do with some general attention, as it looks tired.
Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was also very good, with a good selection.
Would definitely recommend to others"

"Great stay in a comfortable well equipped, top floor attic room. Wifi a bit hit and miss, but manager was very helpful and tried to reboot it. Should have asked if they had a couple of softer pillows. Complimentary biscuits, and water in room, nespresso coffee machine, smart tv and great refurbed bathroom with touchlit mirror, pleasant branded shampoo, conditioner and shower gel."

"Excellent stay in the oldest hotel in Europe! That being said you cannot expect a lift. Everything we needed in the room for a good nights sleep; clean, comfortable, nice bed & linens. Breakfast had a great selection of proteins for once. The history is amazing "
