« This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return! »

« Very pleasant, peaceful and just what the doctor ordered. A quiet get-away that's far enough from civilization but close enough if you want to venture out in the world. The property was very well kept. The only things that need a little tending to is the pool area seating as the the bar seats should be replaced and the grill could use a cleaning. Our host and his sidekick (Steve & Casey) were a pleasure. I would definitely return to this property »

« This was an amazing stay for us with kids, parents & grandparents. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were really good, and the house was spotless. We especially enjoyed the huge screen porch and all the rocking chairs. « One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out. »

"I would give a 5 if it wasn’t for the carpet in the room Don’t understand why still in 2025 they do room with carpet, as it is so disgusting since they cannot be washed between clients. What kind of thing is accumulated down there ! But for the rest, the rooms and everything is very well kept and clean The breakfast are decent Easy parking, and good choices of restaurants near by Not to far from the highway "
