"We loved staying at this home! The location is perfect, tucked away in a vineyard. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths accommodated our group perfectly. Check in was difficult. We were not able to arrive in the 2 hr window that the host was there. They left the keys in the lock, but we didnt have parking information and couldnt reach the host via phone or VRBO. Eventually some nice ladies came out and pointed out where to park. Besides a bumpy check in, the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend...

The location also allowed us to explore many nearby small towns for amazing meals and to meet lovely people. Porto is only ~1.4hrs by tollway, which is 90% of the travel. "The area was gorgeous and the view could not be beat. We made fresh orange juice and lemonade from the citrus trees, walked in the vineyard and cork forest, and enjoyed the quiet. The downside was the drive- it was a bit far from town and needs to be driven in daylight- do not attempt at night (single lane, tight curves, no guardrails, very rural). The house was spacious but could use some upgrades."

"The host was a terrific communicator, very responsive. The house was impressive, roomy with fully stocked kitchen. Security gated property with nice views over-looking town of Paso da Regua and Douro River. Close to a variety of restaurants, and the tour boat dock on the Douro River. Just across river a few kilometers away are a number of wineries to enjoy. Suggest make reservation at vineyards for wine-tastings, tours etc."

"The tour around the town is really interesting, if you get the opportunity to do the private tour I’d highly recommend it, we even went into backyards to check on the almonds drying, and picked figs off the tree to eat. So relaxing and quiet. Dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant was delicious and the service brilliant, The apartment has subdued lighting which fits with the room but might not be enough for everyone, we would stay here again if in the area."

"We could not have been happier with the experience! We were traveling with a large family (9 of us total, all adults), and there was plenty of space. The views were beautiful, and the house was clean and well kept. They had a chef make us dinner one night, which was a very special experience. I will note that the house is up a steep, narrow road and so large vans could be a challenge. Overall, it was one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had."

"A wonderful stay in stunning surroundings. The views on the road from the villa to Peso da Régua are simply breathtaking. The villa itself is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is exceedingly well equipped with every appliance you can think of. The beds are comfortable and all rooms have air conditioning.
