"The host of this property was awesome , she responded right away with an issue that wasn’t really a hindrance to us but more for her. But she made sure we stayed comfortable throughout the stay! House is perfect size for a family , towels, linens and all supplies needed in the kitchen. We LOVED the Mountain views and close proximity to Thornton gap entrance . One thing the pictures do not show is there are abandoned farm structures right around the house so when you pull in at first it’s a little different. But I ended up actually really liking the authentic historical feel of the farm you’re staying on. There were some bugs here and there in the house like ants and gnats but again you’re smack in the middle of a huge farm and close to the beautiful lake up over the tall hill. Honestly we recommended this stay to a family member right when we left because it does give you the full Shenandoah experience!"

"What a great place for a family vacation! The cabins are cute, if a bit tight. We would bbq at the back cabin (spider man). It has the most room for the 14 of us to gather. We eat around the beautiful fire pit, sit, talk, laugh and play games around the fire. The little ones loved roasting marshmallows. Everyone loved both of the game rooms. The area is lovely, the boys went fishing almost every day. The cavern was fascinating. Each of the cabins had their own hot tub and a fire pit. They also had nice added touch of lamps in each of the bedrooms with usb ports, and you don’t need to bring your own cords. That’s supplied with multiple connections at every lamp! My family (ages 3-70) had a wonderful family vacation. My granddaughter’s asked why we had to leave. The beds are comfortable!While it is not my typical “Hyatt “ vacation, it was just what my family needed, and my 2 daughters didn’t have to leave their pups in a kennel."
