"Great place to enjoy the ocean in Costa Rica away from the tourist centers! Warm Pacific Ocean was literally 50 feet from the Cabina. The Cabina is a basic cabin with no frills as shown in the pictures, but very comfortable. The ocean waves can lull you to sleep or keep you up at night so bring earplugs. "We always enjoy the pool There is always plenty seating around it , in or out of the shade. Our only disappointment on this stay was the restaurant. Last year the food was excellent. This year we found it overcooked and not very well presented The WiFi was okay but when we had a bit of an emergency with no water the morning we were leaving we found the phone had no cord so had to get dressed and go to front desk. The power then went out so no lift to get back to our room"

"If you’re going for the views & the pool - it’s a great hotel. With that said the rooms need a full renovation. The AC leaks, the bathroom is very run down and the room has no furniture (other than a bed). The rooms are not great. Also - locals crash the pool (especially at sun set) and the hotel doesn’t do anything about it - making chairs sometimes hard to get. The AM breakfast was good though. "

"Upon arrival, the front desk didn't seem organized at all. Seemed like a poorly trained staff. Once we were escorted to our room we noticed the bar fridge wasn't stocked and the floors were not mopped (still dirty from previous guests). The room was spacious. There wasn't any hot water in the shower :(. We did eat at the Italian restaurant, but i can't say that the food was that great either :S THE MAIN COMPLAINT - my husband received a call from his doctor back home that his test results came in and he needed to get back home and be admitted to hospital \~ this was a truly unexpected event. So the day we checked in, we had to book a flight home the following day hence only staying 1 out of 7 nights. We explained this very unfortunate situation to the front desk manager and we felt that she understood the urgency and would request a provision on our account as we had to fly back home. A month later, we were informed that the hotel would NOT refund any portion of this stay - BAD KARMA Azura Beach! This was an emergency, we provided hospital documentation from our return and they chose not to offer any compensation. I realize that we were past the cancellation date, but common, that's POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!"
