Jenesien, perched on a sunny plateau just above Bolzano, is ideal for those seeking breathtaking panoramic views and a serene retreat. It's known for its extensive network of hiking and cycling trails, particularly the "Jenesien Panorama Trail" which offers stunning vistas of the Dolomite peaks. The village itself is small and pleasant, with a few local eateries and shops, and its proximity to Bolzano means easy access to a larger town via a scenic cable car ride.

Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape will find Jenesien particularly appealing. The quiet surroundings, combined with the spectacular scenery and opportunities for leisurely walks or more challenging hikes, create a ideal setting for quality time together. Many accommodations here boast balconies with incredible mountain views, superb for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening aperitif.

Hafling, located amidst meadows and forests, is another excellent choice, especially for families. This area is famous for its gentle Avelignese horses and offers a more rural, yet equally picturesque, setting. It's a fantastic base for outdoor activities, from horseback riding to easy family-friendly hikes. The village centres around a few hotels and guesthouses, and there are several spots to enjoy traditional South Tyrolean cuisine.

Families will appreciate Hafling for its open spaces and activities tailored for all ages. The chance for children to see and interact with the Avelignese horses is a great experience, and the numerous easy walking paths make it simple to explore the natural beauty with younger children.
